I was going to vote for Obama a long while back, even though he's more of a centrist than I would like. He's more liberal than Bill and Hillary, maybe, but since they're pretty conservative, that's not much of a stretch. As my Dad put it a few days ago, I'm hoping he's Harold Washington, not Richard Hatcher.
Well, our founding fathers were very wise there in allowing through the Constitution much flexibility there in the office of the vice president. And we will do what is best for the American people in tapping into that position and ushering in an agenda that is supportive and cooperative with the president’s agenda in that position. Yeah, so I do agree with him that we have a lot of flexibility in there, and we’ll do what we have to do to administer very appropriately the plans that are needed for this nation.
OK, put yourself in her position. You've been busted a bunch of time for your comment about not knowing what the VP does. And now you're interviewing for the job. And that's the kind of answer you give?
If you're an idiot, or in the bag for the Republican Party, she does an adequate job of making nonsense sound palatable. But most people will hear that and hear the most annoying middle manager they can remember, then one who takes credit for all your work, and passes on all the blame.
OTOH, I am looking forward to the electorla ass-kicking that is looming on the horizon. McCain/Palin will make Mondale/Ferraro look like a pretty successful campaign, historically.
